This stretch of Penobscot River - North Branch in Maine is 20.8 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad
    you came. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Whitewater rafting and
