The Lower Ebeemee to Brownville Junction section of Pleasant River - East Branch in Piscataquis County is 3.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The natural beauty of Maine and the cool fresh     water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.
