This stretch of Salmon Brook is 4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. The beautiful scenery of Maine and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance     because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The New Dunn Town Road to Aroostook River section is the only paddling section along Salmon Brook.
