The nature scenery of Maine and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. This stretch of Sandy River in Franklin County is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
