This stretch of Sandy River in Franklin County is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. The Farmington Falls     to New Sharon section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy.
