The Lower Togue Pond to Millicocket Lake stretch of Sandy Stream in Piscataquis Penobscot County is 10.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack
