This stretch of Schoodic Stream is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Maine and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. There are no other stretches to paddle
along Schoodic Stream than the Schoodic Lake to Miol-Howland Road stretch. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd
better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting point is not too far from Bangor, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon.

Scutaze Trail is always a perfect adventure, and there are good places to look at along the Hardy Pond Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Schoodic Stream. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Schoodic Stream.
