The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The scenic beauty of Piscataquis County and the cool fresh water beats anything. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but     do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This is the only paddling section along Schoodic Stream. The campgrounds here at Schoodic Stream are pretty good.
