The wonderful Somerset County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that.     This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Mainstream to Castle Harmony section is one of them. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. Briefly about the general area: Sebasticook River gets lots of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
