  The natural beauty of Penobscot County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. This is the only paddling section along Seboeis River. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better
    reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section of Seboeis River in Maine is 22.3 miles long and it is classified as a class I-IV section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll
find lots of paddling spots. There's camping available near Seboeis River. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.

Briefly about the general area:
A typical amount of rain falls here at Seboeis River; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. Good hiking is available along the Jerry Pond Tote Road.
During the summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Seboeis River, and the nighttime is a bit chillier
 
of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Seboeis River overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. Don't leave Seboeis River without first going for a hike along the American Thread Company Road, and don't leave Seboeis River without first paying a visit to Willet Eddy.
