The Cow yard Falls to Bucks Cove section of Ship Pond Stream in Piscataquis County is 3 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the     great campgrounds nearby. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. This is the only paddling stretch along Ship Pond Stream. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners.
