  The natural beauty of Maine and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The Haymock Lake to Eagle lake section of Smith Brook is 8 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good
    spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before
you come because it is a very popular destination.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Smith Brook without first going for a hike along the Telephone Trail. For the period of the summertime at Smith Brook highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Smith Brook.
