  This stretch of Smith Brook in Maine is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-III section. The scenic beauty of Maine and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. There's camping available near Smith Brook. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
    fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Haymock Lake to Eagle lake stretch is the only paddling stretch along Smith Brook. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you
coming back for more. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.
