This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more.     You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Logging Br to Dead River section is the only paddling section along Spencer Stream. The campgrounds here at Spencer Stream are pretty good. The nature scenery of Maine and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
