The wonderful Maine scenery and the water flowing gracefully down St. Francis River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Maine you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This is the only paddling stretch along St. Francis River. If you hurry you can run this section in a day
but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section of St. Francis River in Aroostook County is
