The Rt 17 Bridge to Mexico stretch of Swift River in Oxford County is 13 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve
in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Rt 17 Bridge to Mexico section is one of them. The nature scenery of Oxford County and the beautiful way
the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience.
