The beautiful scenery of Maine and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater     rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Route 26 to Dead Cambridge River section is one of them. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
