Franklin
county,
Wilton to East Wilton section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 3.5 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The beautiful scenery of Franklin County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The starting point is not too far from Lewiston-Auburn, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. A bit of exercise and
just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There are no other sections to paddle along Wilson Stream than the Wilton to East Wilton section.
