  The starting point is not too far from Lewiston-Auburn, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The wonderful Franklin County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This stretch of Wilson Stream in Maine is 3.5 miles long and it is classified
    as a class II section by American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state
are very easy. No shortage of good hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

Briefly about the general area:
The high level of precipitation makes Wilson Stream a quite wet site; November is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Titcomb.
All through the summertime months highs here at Wilson Stream reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Wilson Stream dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
