The beautiful scenery of Franklin County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting point is not too far from Lewiston-Auburn, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There are no other sections to paddle along Wilson Stream than the Wilton to East Wilton section. The Wilton to East Wilton section of Wilson Stream is 3.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. Briefly about the general area: Wilson Stream is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
