The MD Route 136 to Maryland Route 623 section of Broad Creek in Maryland is 4.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maryland is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The campgrounds here     at Broad Creek are pretty good. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This is the only paddling section along Broad Creek.
