If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either     way this area has a large number of paddling spots. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Cabin John Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the River Road to Potomac section is the only one. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
