Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maryland is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. If you're coming from Somerset it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your sleeping bag.
