The nature scenery of Maryland and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have     a lot of people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along Conowingo Creek than the Oakwood to Susquehanna River section. The Oakwood to Susquehanna River section of Conowingo Creek is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Briefly about the general area: Glen Cove is not far from Conowingo Creek at all. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Conowingo Creek; July is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Conowingo Creek. During the dark hours of summer temperatures   sink down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Conowingo Creek throughout the wintertime typically descend into the 20's.
