This stretch of Gunpowder Falls in Maryland is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Prettyboy Dam to Falls Road stretch is just one of them. There are campgrounds quite     near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
