This section of Gunpowder Falls in Baltimore County is 3.3 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some     time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Maryland you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners.
