This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch of Jones Falls is 6 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according     to American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Jones Falls than the Lake Roland to Round Falls stretch. No shortage of good hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of Maryland and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: Jones Falls gets a common amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Jones Falls. Once the sun is down   it sinks down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Jones Falls through the wintertime usually descend into the 20's.
