Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Maryland are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are a few other stretches in this river     system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The nature scenery of Maryland and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: All through the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Little Falls. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Little Falls descend into the 20's. From   a rain point of view Little Falls is a reasonably typical place; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
