The put-in location is a short drive from Baltimore-Towson, as you can see on the road map further down. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maryland are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. There's camping     available near Little Gunpowder Falls. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. The wonderful Harford/ Baltimore County scenery and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle.
