The scenic beauty of Garrett County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The starting point is not too far from Morgantown, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maryland are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds
