This section of Northeast Creek in Maryland is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Maryland and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. If you'll be staying in a
hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Northeast Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the below covered bridge on Route 272 stretch is the only one. This stretch has has
enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
