This section of Owens Creek is 8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Lantz to Rocky Ridge Road section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers     here are less demanding. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Briefly about the general area: You don't should go far from Owens Creek to enjoy Blacks Hilltop Orchard, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail. For the duration of the months of summer here   at Owens Creek, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
