There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. A visit to Yellow Falls will fill your soul with great feelings; don't leave Potomac River without first paying a visit to Calico Rapids. For the period of the long summer days here at Potomac River, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
