This section of Potomac River in Maryland is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III(IV) section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Montgomery County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy.
