This stretch of Rock Creek in Mongomery County is -blank- miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I(II) section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are no other sections to paddle along Rock Creek than the Rockville to Military Road section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do     keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
