The put-in location is a short drive from Winchester, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There's camping available near Sideling Hill Creek. The Sr 2011 to Potomac river section of Sideling Hill Creek is 27 miles long and it is classified as a class     I-II section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camp stove too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.
