The wonderful Allegany County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Wills Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. The Ellerslie to North Branch Potomac section of Wills Creek is 6.1 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The     campgrounds here at Wills Creek are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maryland is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners.
