The US Route 50 to Millers Run stretch of Youghiogheny River is 15.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive     a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The starting point is not too far from Morgantown, as you can see on the road map further down. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. Briefly about the general area: At Youghiogheny River through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, mostly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows all through the winter for Youghiogheny River   tend to be in the 10's.
