The Tippy-Top stretch of Youghiogheny River is 4 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Youghiogheny River are pretty good. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and
a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The scenic beauty of Maryland and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. No matter if you're
whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.

Summer at Youghiogheny River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's.
