The Route 117 to Route 62 section of Assabet River in Middlesex/Worcester County is 1.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise
and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Assabet River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Route 117 to Route 62 stretch is the only one. The beautiful scenery of Middlesex/Worcester County and the water flowing gracefully
down Assabet River have people coming here. The average Massachusetts whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy.

Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Assabet River. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the
