If you're coming from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Massachusetts scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. This section is very short so no need to bring snacks. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make
reservations in advance you're all set. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Massachusetts are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Cohasset Tidal Rip doesn't have a lot of paddling sections,

On a delightful day you can pop by Sandy Beach in close proximity to Cohasset Tidal Rip.
