The Cohasset section of Cohasset Tidal Rip is 0 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The put-in location is a short drive from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, as you can see on the road map further down. This is the only paddling section along Cohasset Tidal Rip. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available
very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The campgrounds here at Cohasset Tidal Rip are pretty good. This is an extremely short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.

about the general area: A day at Sandy Beach right next door to Cohasset Tidal Rip is time well spent; Sutton Rocks is in the vicinity, and is a pleasant place. At Cohasset Tidal Rip during the summertime highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Cohasset Tidal Rip nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure.
