Hampden
county,
Holyoke section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
The put-in is not too far from Springfield, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Connecticut River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Holyoke section is the only one. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
fill up quick. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The natural beauty of Massachusetts and the water flowing gracefully down Connecticut River have people coming here. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to
walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
