This section of Deerfield River in Franklin County is 9.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the
river where you can camp. The scenic beauty of Massachusetts and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often
easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip.
