The nature scenery of Massachusetts and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. River in Massachusetts is 9.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby
but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip.

amount of precipitation. While you're here at Deerfield River you can take a hike along the Dunbar Brook Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Berkshire East since you're here. All through the summertime months at Deerfield River temperatures are
mostly in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Deerfield River dip into the 10's.
