This stretch of Farmington River - West Branch is 2.25 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater     rafting and kayaking spots in Massachusetts are easier than the national norm, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
