A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. is 8.15 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are no other stretches to paddle along Green River than the US Route 7 to Hoosic River stretch.
Briefly about the general area: Near Green River you come across the Hopper Trail which is a fine hiking trail; Westlawn Cemetery is relatively close. Green River gets a typical amount of rain; August is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. During the summer at Green
River highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Green River. Going for a hike on the Deer Hill Trail is always a great adventure.
