This river system has a few good paddling sections and the West Leyden to covered bridge section is one of them. This section of Green River in Franklin County is 5.6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,     and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Green River a wet spot; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Green River is right by the Mount Olga Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Green River with nighttime lows in the 50's.
