The nature scenery of Massachusetts and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Massachusetts is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This section of Pelham Brook in Franklin County is 3.25 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Bennington it's not a long drive at all
to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are no other stretches to paddle along
Pelham Brook than the Rowe Center to Deerfield River stretch. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
