The Rowe Center to Deerfield River stretch of Pelham Brook in Massachusetts is 3.25 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Franklin County and the water flowing gracefully down Pelham Brook are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Massachusetts is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end
up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Rowe Center to Deerfield River section is the only paddling section along Pelham Brook. If you're coming from Bennington it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as
you can see on the road map further down. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.
