The put-in location is a short drive from Pittsfield, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The wonderful Berkshire/ Hampden County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Walker Brook will make you feel great. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. If you've     been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
