The nature scenery of Berkshire/ Hampden County and the water flowing gracefully down Walker Brook beats anything. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The 3.5 miles West of Chester on Route 20 to Chester stretch is the only paddling stretch along Walker Brook. There's camping available near Walker Brook. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother     nature have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The starting point is not too far from Pittsfield, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Massachusetts tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
