The nature scenery of Hampshire / Hampden County and the water flowing gracefully down Westfield River - Middle Branch are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this     general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Massachusetts is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This stretch of Westfield River - Middle Branch is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.
