If you're coming from Pittsfield it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Massachusetts you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right
nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The wonderful Massachusetts scenery and
