If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make     reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only paddling stretch along Bear River. This section is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good spots for that around here. This stretch of Bear River in Michigan is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section.
