The starting location is a reasonable drive from Marquette, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Marquette County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.     You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: Gotta ski! Marquette is a nice spot to do that.
