The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Michigan are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whitewater paddling here in the     Gogebic Range is a great experience. This is the only paddling section along Carp River. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes.
