The Mount Pleasant stretch of Chippewa River in Isabella County is 0.1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. The put-in is not too far from Mount Pleasant, as you can see on the road     map further down. The natural beauty of Michigan and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The Mount Pleasant stretch is the only paddling stretch along Chippewa River. This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes. Briefly about the general area: During your tour to Chippewa River you'll meet some people from Mount Pleasant for sure.
