If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The nature scenery of Michigan and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Copper Creek is 4 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have people coming
from far and near. When you're paddling down a Gogebic Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The logging road to Presque Isle stretch is the only paddling stretch along Copper Creek. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is
mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
